Applicant Eligibility

?Non-Chinese citizen in good health

?16 years old and above, with valid foreign passport

Documents Required

?Application Form to Southwest University (in duplicate, including one photocopy)

?Photocopy of highest education certificate

?Copy of passport

?Two photocopies of Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (Applicants keep the original form for study visa application.)

Application Procedures

Online Application and Admission Procedures

?Log onto the website of SWU online application for international students (https://swu.17gz.org/member/login.do). Complete steps including online name registration, password setting, and verification code input, etc.;

?Click “Download” on the website of SWU online application for international students (https://swu.17gz.org/member/login.do), and download “Application Form Southwest University” and “Physical Examination Form for Foreigner”;

?Fill in “Application Form to Southwest University”. Take physical exam at local public hospital as requested. Applicants should follow exam items to take physical examination. Please note that any physical exam form with missing items or without photograph, official seal of the hospital or signature of the doctor will be considered as invalid document. Since the result of the physical exam is valid for six months, please arrange the examination time accordingly to make sure the result is good for application;

?Log into the website (https://swu.17gz.org/member/login.do), then fill in/select certain information, and upload required application documents;

?Confirm information filled in/selected and documents uploaded, and click “Submit”;

?Southwest University evaluates the application materials and announces the name list of the qualified applicants on the website of http://www.scfqjr-tour.com, and notifies them by emails;

? “Admission Notice” and “Visa Application for Study in China” (JW202 form) are to be mailed to applicants admitted one or two months ahead of a new term.

Traditional Application and Admission Procedures:

?Applicants need to either download the “Application Form to Southwest University” and “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” from the “downloading area” on http://www.scfqjr-tour.com, or contact the International Students Admission Office of SWU for such documents.

?Fill in the Application Form to Southwest University and do physical examination at the local public hospital as requested. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The medical examination results will be valid for 6 months. All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor into consideration as they plan to take the medical examination.

?Prepare the other application documents requested and send the full package of application documents to the International Students Admission Office, Southwest University.

?Southwest University evaluates the application materials and announces the name list of the qualified applicants on the website of http://www.scfqjr-tour.com, and notifies them by emails;

?“Admission Notice” and “Visa Application for Study in China” (JW202 form) are to be mailed to applicants admitted one or two months ahead of a new term.
